Tonight at the area 8 dinner I brought a friend of mine to help with my performance. He was in Interact a bit for freshman year, but never really got into it. Hes a pretty quiet guy in big crowds so I wasnt surprised how quiet he was for the majority of the night, but at the end of the night when the officers were getting pied, I stepped away from him for a bit. When I came back, I saw him tearing up while talking to our areas director (Danelle Go). I have never seen so many people [interact] care and love each other so much. I cant even put it into words. When I talked to him afterwards, he was so completely amazed and overwhelmed. He was overwhelmed with all the love that was circling the air, all the good vibes and kindness, but most of all, he was overwhelmed with the feeling of, This is something I want to be a part of. This is something that is good in life. This is something everyone needs in life. I just wanted to stop by and say that I love all of you and that I thank all of you for always providing an atmosphere that never fails to make me and so many others feel at home and welcomed and loved. You are all wonderful people doing a amazing things. Have a good night everyone, hope both events tonight went great (as I am sure they did)! (:
