Tonight in Midtown I saw something amazing. I saw another packed H&8th. But I also saw crowds at the new Bleu Garten. And I saw people walking to and from shops and restaurants along NW 10 and Robinson (including a very packed rooftop at Packards), NW 10 and Walker, to and from these other outdoor venues, and yet another crowd enjoying the opening of RJs Super Club. Midtown was truly a neighborhood, with people walking to and from venues and events stretched out over several blocks. The folks I encountered were from throughout the metro, representing the full array of the diversity of our community. We were laughing, we were talking, we were enjoying live music, we were enjoying the arts, we were enjoying local retail, and of course, we were enjoying the food, but most of all, we were enjoying being a part of a lively, urban nightlife. This is another glimpse of the new normal in Oklahoma City.
