Tonight is officially one week since my son disappeared. I was trying to think of a story I could tell everyone so that you all could get to know my son; it is hard to pick just one. His Senior year of high school (school in general) was a struggle. This is a bright kid who hates sitting in a classroom! He was failing a few classes and in danger of not graduating, so I pulled him out of YCHS and enrolled him at APHS with me since I was a teacher there. He blossomed at that school with all my AP friends. He became a Shady Creek counselor three times, he helped with the fly-fishing elective, and he even helped other students with Algebra. Thanks to great teachers, he finally "got" Algebra and finished English and all his other classes. He even graduated school early by a few weeks. It was cool as a mom and a teacher to watch him interact with others as he grew up a little that semester. My boy is so smart, but also pretty darn stubborn. So right now, dear one, if you are being stubborn, it is time to come home! We love you. We miss you. We need you!
