Tonight is our last New Jax practice before we leave for playoffs in Evansville, IN. The last 8 months have gone by so fast. It seems like yesterday I was on the phone with Fancy in tears worrying about what our 2014 season would bring us. I would never have imagined that we would have an undefeated season and end up at #14 in the world. Our 2014 ranking and wins have always come second to our teamwork and the bond we share. As I look back on this season, I cant help but smile. I used to be all about the rank and point spread. I learned so much from the wonderful ladies of NJCR this year. I learned that its not always about the competitiveness. Its about team bonding, having fun, and thoroughly enjoying what you are doing on the track. As this weekend approaches, I realize that I am personally a completely different skater than my prior 5 seasons and I owe it all to my teammates. They are the calm to my storm. No matter what happens this weekend, I can honestly say I have enjoyed every moment, every practice, and every game with my derby sisters. We know what we accomplished this season, and it is much greater than our ranking could ever explain. I love you ladies and I am so extremely proud to call each of you my teammate.
