Tonight mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower or drizzle after midnight. Areas of fog after midnight. Low about 37-42. Thursday starts off cloudy skies with a chance of an isolated shower and areas of fog then mostly cloudy. High about 58-62. Friday is not looking good...best chance of rain in the morning then on and off showers throughout the day. We are watching two rounds of wintry precipitation into the weekend. The first round for Fri night expects cold rain starts to mix with sleet later at night when temps dropping into the mid 30s. Early Saturday some areas could be waking up to a coating of snow, but higher amounts is possible across the higher terrain. Then clearing after sat noon with highs in the low 40s. Second round for the sun night/mon event across much of the region will start precipitation as of snow/sleet for a few hours before a changeover to all rain by daybreak Monday. I expect most of the areas could see the first accumulating snow of the season with around a couple of inches is possible. It could make your Monday morning commute messy. Computer models are in strong agreement for the winter storm impacting the region. Highs will be in the mid 30s for Sunday. Monday will be warmer into the mid 40s with some rain for everyone. Another cold blast push through the region midweek with temps falling into the 30s. Lows will be in the teens across the NYC Metro area & surrounding area. Exciting times ahead for those snow lovers. The longer range expects snowy and colder throughout mid December.
