Tonight on Tuesday Cliques: Messianic Expectations in the Old - TopicsExpress

Tonight on Tuesday Cliques: Messianic Expectations in the Old Testament, Messianic Expectations in the Inter-Testamental Period and Messianic Fulfillment in the New Testament. As Jews studied Scripture, they began to expect a coming king who would restore the throne of David and fulfill God’s promises of an everlasting kingdom. The Old Testament gave hints of His identity and seemed to indicate that He would be divine. Then in the New Testament the Apostle John made an astounding declaration: “In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:1, John 1:14) But what happened during the Inter-Testamental period is surely a great contribution to the Redemptive history. Invite your classmates and friends. Cliques starts at 6pm and ends 730pm.
