Tonight our 12 year old herd queen did not come home with the rest of the girls. We found her in the shade of a tree, unable to get up, but still alive. We sat with her, shared some hugs, some stories and brought her one last dinner before letting her go. It never gets easy, but they need us to make sure they dont suffer. We will always love Jade. She and her sister Maybelline have ruled with fairness, and I hope she finds all our lost goats in the great beyond and rules again.
