Tonight, the president essentially admitted, albeit in flowery prose, to the failure of his economic policies and asked Americans to disregard the past five years while he hits the reset button. However, the record number of Americans currently out of the labor force see his speech for what it is--another example of Washington politicians failing the American people. It is clear that our nation needs a change from these failed big-government policies. While Sen. McConnell is quick to give President Obama a pat on the back over the deals they have cut together, I will be a senator that fights for Kentuckys taxpayers and our conservative principles. We can no longer afford to simply go along to get along.
