Tonight was a beautiful night and one of the best musical - TopicsExpress

Tonight was a beautiful night and one of the best musical experiences I have ever had... actually best human experiences I have ever had. Tonight as we played our second show in my home town it was so moving to see people touched by our music. Although I was born in Santiago, Panama, and my parents met in San Vicente high school, so both sides of my family are from here, I have often felt far removed from this place. Tonight felt like a reunion with my heritage. Luna, a song written for my parents, sounded better than it has ever sounded... even in a DIY, punk spirited space with no monitors, I have never played it better. We received some of the most educated compliments about our music. It moved me to hear people explain in depth why they knew we are special... and inspiring that these are my people and they truly understand what we are doing. A few confided in us how our music has inspired them to pursue their own musical journeys. After the gig, we hit El Mosquero, an iconic late night I rarely greasy spoon and ate some bistec con tortillas feeling triumphant and content. I rarely rant on this thing but tonight it feels like its warrented. Thank you to my wonderful band and to Olmedo Osorio Méndez for inviting us to Bohemios. I feel lucky to have had these experiences.
