Tonight was definitely a DONT MISS night on the mats at Lovatos Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!! I began by teaching the Teen Warriors class, and I cannot express how impressed I am with them lately, as many of them were there half an hour early to drill and review moves from past classes, and how much many of them are improving. We hit a great warm-up and just a couple of drills, and then I taught them the shoulder-lock from side control, as weve run into it a lot in recent tournaments, both at chances to get it and on the receiving end. I also showed the Kimora attack from side control, and how I find the position from transitioning from forcing the half guard. I ended class with some positional sparring from side control, and everyone looked great!! Congrats to Austin Bryant for being the Teen Warrior student of the night!! I immediately taught the advanced class afterwards, and we had an absolute blast!! I covered one of my favorite positions tonight, the whizzer grip from side control when the opponent is trying to recover guard, and how I hit my rolling-X attack, as well as many other attacks and transitions I find from there. Everyone had a great time, and and we ended the evening with sparring rounds. Congrats to Blake Kerr for being the student of the night!! I hope everyone enjoyed class!! Now, time to rest, eat, and get ready for some Hyena Muay Thai with Kru Mark H Beecher III in the morning!!
