Tonight was my 3rd viewing of John Carpenters The Thing, easily within my top 5, all-time creative influences. The tension, the horror, the suspense, are all unmatched by any film Ive yet to see. What I love most are the visual cues, the hints from the onset about what is really going on and, even after the credits roll, the irresoluteness of the story--not to mention the incredible, 100% organic special effects. An absolute must-see.
