Tonight was really cold out, for my walkabouts :( I visited with several locals, and didnt blame anyone for having a nip of liquor to keep the cold away, but I did try to convince them to go to shelters (which none would do) :( I offered to call SOS, as well, but was told each time, that they were fine :( I gave hot Turkey soup, with a buttered bun, some juice and a hot chocolate, which each person was appreciative of :) I am now running out out Hot Chocolate, juice boxes, and containers for hot meals :( I also gave out the personal hygiene Smiley Bags, toques, blankets and mitts, but ran out of toques along the way :( Thank you to those that have donated :) Please keep our homeless in your thoughts tonight...its brutal outside :( Im still warming up, after being home for awhile..and am thankful that I have a home to come to...One day, I hope to never have to do a walkabout or a drive along, again...
