Tonight was the Christmas Party for my fiancee Laura Kulesavage and mine churchs choir and bell choir (shes in the bell choir and my future mother-in-law is in both!). They have a tradition of a ornament exchange and as a guest I was indoctrinated into this practice of blind gift giving coupled with gift theft. I was able to persuade my fiancee into both of us not purchasing a store bought ornament but rather.. build several out of Lego bricks! Heres a few pictures of some of them (after the gift exchange). She made this amazing wreath ornament! As was explained to me,a higher number of times a gift is stolen during the exchange is a form of high praise. Both sets of ornaments were some of the most popular this evening, exchanging hands several times :) It was a fun afternoon of brick building and and evening of gift giving. As one of the other party guest quipped, Everything IS awesome! ;) Afterwards one of the choir members who is a father of two adorable children (both extremely well behaved and in great moods) approached me afterwards for help. Our ornaments were an inspiration for a Saturday event, so Ill be sending some pictures along with some instructions their way this week.
