Tonight we will be celebrating our belated Christmas with an amazing lady and other family. Some days, Im not sure what to call her - my mother-in-law (which isnt technically true), my step kids grandma, my husbands mother-in-law or just Cindy. But shes much more than just Cindy. You see, I married a widower. Cindy is the mother of Sarah. Cindy is an amazing and caring woman, as Im sure Sarah was as well, I just never had the pleasure of meeting her. Sarahs family has continued to remain an important part of our life - opening up their arms and hearts to my son, Brandon and myself. Marrying a widower with two young kids at times isnt easy - as I will always be the other woman in a way that most never think of when you say the other woman. But in our own messy, beautiful way, it really is amazing. So to others, it may seem complicated or hard to explain. But to us, its simple - its about love. So tonight, we celebrate with Cindy and Sarahs brother and family - and we will laugh, hug and celebrate #family.
