Tonight we witnessed merely the latest in a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object and evincing a design to reduce us under absolute Despotism. We have allowed an absolute PROVEN fraud to usurp the Presidency and maintain control of the Office through criminal means. And no one has stopped him. Try imagining a world where a Republican could refuse to release his background. Where a Republican would be allowed to spend MILLIONS to hide his past. Where a Republican could BLATANTLY, CYNICALLY deceive the American public, break the law, and shred the Constitution. And yet, no one does anything to stop him. I am not sanguine about the Republics survival, but I must maintain hope. I have faith in the American people, I really do, but this situation is only going to get worse, as 21 states have signed onto the NPV initiative, where they will give ALL their Electoral College votes to the winner of the national popular vote, de facto turning us into a democracy. God help us if that happens. For now, the #RedNationRising that spoke so eloquently on Election Day needs to INUNDATE Congress with messages of support and exhortation. Many say that this is not effective; I disagree. Remind them of what happened to Eric Cantor. That will get their attention. SPEAKER BOEHNER AND SENATOR McCONNELL, WE GAVE YOU A MANDATE. USE IT!
