Tonights 00zGFS shows a bit of an unsettled weather pattern for the coming week ahead as it appears we`ll be in SWLY aloft with 500mb heights in the low-mid 570`s and a weak trough taking place off shore and with little pieces of energy swing through at times this coming week for a chance of showers and or a little rain. Then for the weekend, it`s looking a bit wet and rainy as a weak low is shown to move through Oregon Sat/Sat evening with some rain or showers for Sat into Sun and we begin to dry out early following week as a warm and dry ridge of pressure builds over the western US and 500mb heights on the 00z rising up into around mid 590`sdm for mid-late following week. And 00zGFS shows us staying warm/ dry into after next following weekend with 500mb heights in the 580`sdm. 00zGEM model also showing some showers at times through next week, but also dry periods with SWLY flow through the weekend and into next following week. GEM model no so sold on the idea of a building ridge for early next following week as it shows a possible front coming ashore early following week.
