Tonights Fight between Hopkins vs. Kovalev has got the Boxing experts Buzzing. Everybody wants to be able to say I called it right, to be apart of a potentially HISTORIC moment. The end of Bernard Hopkins reign as a World Champion, who has defied FATHER TIME, for the last time. But as I evaluate this Great Match up on paper, I dont see Kovalevs experience enough to overcome Bernards Wisdom and knowledge on finding the right roadmap to victory tonight. Yes Kovalev is a tough strong agressive fighter, with a big heart, but he just had to pick himself off the canvass recently, or this match wouldnt be happening tonight. I have seen this story played out time after time, because the overall fan base gets extatic when we have one of Boxings all Time Greats get closer to the end of there careers. I believe were going to see the kind of Fight that Marcos Maidana brought to Floyd Mayweather Jr. A game rough tough bout, but when the latter rounds kick in with Hopkins years of experience he will school Kovalev, like Maywearher did Maidana. I have seen Big George Foreman defy all odds at 45yrs old, and put to sleep a 28yr old Michael Moorer in 1995, and I will take the seasoning of the Great ones over just pure young aggression anyday. I will even go one step further and predict Hopkins will win by a decent margin decision, if not a late round stoppage. How do you call this fight ? Share your thoughts
