Tonights episode was probably the most powerful episode of the series. Marys rape was very controversial and has angered many fans including myself. Rape is NOT a plot devise and many cant get passed this fact. While I agree completely, the shows use of this particular issue was to promote awareness and to show us that if something like this has happened to you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Adelaide Kanes powerful performance underscores this message. Also a shout out to Megan Follows for also delivering her most powerful performance as well. This was a very powerful, emotional, and disturbing episode but dont let it discourage you from watching tonights episode Acts of War. If anything, it is a reality check. I will continue to support and watch this show but as a fan, I am very unhappy that the writers ignored thousands of pleas made by fans of Reign to not go ahead with this plot line. This episode will change us and set the tone for the rest of the season but its no reason to stop watching the show.
