Tonights gig as got me smiling non stop tonight. Finished the show, cooled down, started setting down my gear, suddenly heard a faint "excuse me", turn around and see a little lad, only about 7 or 8 and only knee high to a grasshopper, I say hiya to him, he asks shyly if he can look at my kit, i say no probs and let him sit behind it and let him have a bash on em, he had a beaming smile as he had a go, after he stopped he said "thank you for the show tonight and thank you your drum solo" and asked for some sticks, i give him the set i was using tonight and he says " thank you very very much" and gives me a big proper hug and heads off to show his parents the sticks he got. Thats what its all about for me, if i can make a difference to one persons life with my playing, it makes everything worthwhile, im not gonna forget tonight for a long time
