Tonights ride really made me smile, we concentrated on lots of stretchy work away from the track, ensuring a consistent contact in both reins. From this I did some leg yields to not quite the track- as then she wasnt just diving to the edge and I could make sure my outside leg was doing its job properly! Also some shoulder ins making sure I am using each hand independently to make sure I am aware of each part of my body so I can make the most of hers. As well as some stretchy circles too, spiralling in and out but really concentrating on not allowing the paces to get too rushed, just letting the rhythm develop. Into canter and some of the same- a bit more difficult to keep the calmness as we had a few errrrm impromptu extended canters across the arena (!) at door bangs etc in this I focused on a correct frame and feel whilst on the the left rein ensuring she isnt too fixed on my left hand and we finished off with a bit of counter canter. She does make me smile, my Mum described her tonight as a Duracell bunny! I also realised it has been a year since we were offered sponsored by the brilliant Equestrian Originals I am ever so grateful for their continued support. If you havent already checked them out please do, things are super exciting at the moment with the arrival of the gorgeous new Eskadron Next Generation!
