Tonight’s oldie comes from a country music icon who has been nominated for 46 Grammy awards, tying her with Beyonce Knowles for the most Grammy nominations for a woman. Winner of eight Grammy’s, Tennessee native Dolly Parton is enshrined in the Country Music HOF, Gospel Music HOF, and the Songwriters HOF. My pick was Dolly’s first big crossover hit single. It’s “Here You Come Again”, which topped the country chart and peaked at #3 on the pop chart. This tune also won the 1979 Grammy award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
