Tony Persico and Joe Whiskey-Whiskers Deschaine are over saturating the Humboldt comedy scene. I am over being cool about it. I think those two guys are the only ones who dont realize how obvious what they are doing is and why they are doing it… how else are you going to get 5 hours of stage time a week. Certainly not through artistic merit. If that were the litmus (which in places of quality, it IS) then Dutch Savage and Zeke Herrera would be hosting all the shows. I am sorry for being the heavy here, but these guys have to stop, for the sake of the audiences and the performers. And NO ONE NEEDS TO START THROWING MORE COMEDY SHOWS! The ones we already have dont make money. And dont give me any crap about supporting a healthy scene. This scene is quantifiably unhealthy.
