Tony bought Al home with him that day along with a fifth of vodka and a case of beer. When I saw him I froze in my tracks, feelings smacked me dead in the face and heart, feelings that I had forgotten I had- I knew Al felt the same way that I was. Al was the only one who could bring these feelings to surface. I tried to act as if I was happy in this relationship, but to tell the truth; I love Al, always did and always will. They became drinking buddies which was okay and sort of nice in the beginning- but I knew that nothing good could come of this. Then that day came; they had been drinking all day - it was getting close to dinner time. “Ya’ man you had to be a punk and take my girl while I was locked up!” I could hear them arguing in the living room from up in my bedroom. “Aw man I didn’t take anyone, she came willingly. You couldn’t handle her anyway, she would have grown out of you sooner or later.” Growing frustrated with Al’s accusations. “Man, you’re a punk!” Al jumps up as if he wanted to fight. “Man just sit your punk ass down, before you get your feelings hurt up in here!” Tony stands up as well. I don’t know who threw the first punch because by now I am coming down the stairs trying to figure out what was I going to honestly do about this situation. I miss Al, I miss him so much that my heart aches at times. Tony is a good man and takes care of me and the kids and I can’t just hurt him that way. “Alright! That’s enough you two!” The blinds are on the floor, Al has a bloody nose and Tony is standing with both hands in fists and his nose flared open wide. “Have you two had enough- now that you have torn up the living room? I think it’s time for you to leave now Al, you two have drank enough today.” “Chevey, you know how much I love you, tell him! Tell him that you would rather be with me.” He tries to hold me and kiss me on the lips as I pull away and shake my head in disappointment. “Good night Al.” I wanted to say the words, “I want Al back in my life”, but it just wasn’t right, so I didn"t......more to come!!!!!
