Tony was a five-year-old boy who felt his mother was too strict on him. She followed him around and watched him carefully to be sure he did not get too close to a stranger or he might attempt to cross the busy street in the front of their home. School would be starting in a few days. For the first week Tonys mother walked him and one of his friends to and from school; .. Walking home on Friday Tony and his friend told her that they wanted to do like the big boys do.....walk without their mothers. She thought this was a bad idea, but she said she would pray about it and discuss it with Tonys father. On Saturday morning she saw Mrs Goodnest, walking down the sidewalk. She remembered that she walked her little girl, Marcy, in a stroller each morning about the same him she walked Tony and his friend to school. She went outside to explain her problem and to make a request Could she watch Tony and his friend as they walked to school? Mrs. Goodnest was happy to help and volunteered to follow them home from school too. After two weeks of walking and keeping an eye on the boys Tonys friend asked if this woman following them was safe.... Tony replied Each night our family has devotions and we read Psalms 23 together......the Bible tells us she will always be with us, so we had better get use to it. What do you mean asked his friend? Psalms 23 says Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of our lives! Shirley and Marcy will not follow us each day of our lives, but Psalms 23tells me that God will.. There are several more promises in this Psalm. Some time today sit down with your Bible and lists these promises.
