Tonyia Elmore Dobmeyer has the kindest Soul. A teacher friend of hers sent her a picture of a 2nd grade girls sad problem. She came to school with two different shoes on, not only different shoes but both were way to small and both were right shoes. She told the teacher that they were the only shoes she had. Tonyia went to the school and upon her arrival, found that the school had given her a pair of shoes (which was a temporary fix) Despite being boys, black loafers and 2-3 sizes to large, the little girl was overjoyed. It broke Tonyias heart. She set out to get the girl a pair of shoes, but it turns out that this is an epidemic in our schools. After talking to the principal and the counselor, she went on a mission. She made mention to a couple of people that contributed including herself. (She can disclose the contributors if she wishes) Then went to a MAJOR retailer and asked if they could help and boy they did. She is going to make sure the 2nd grader gets her pair, then she is going to distribute the shoe between two schools. At that point it will be up to the counselors and principals to distribute where they see fit. If a small effort on Tonyias part rekindles the spirit of just one child, just think how many spirits can be rekindled by the rest of us. I think she will be on a Coat mission and possibly another shoe mission next.
