Too Wet to paint with Oil-Based Primer...so, I worked on Grading the Medium, where the City, had just installed new Handicap Ramps, here in the Edgewood/Park City Historic District. To my surprise. I came across this Copper Rod, buried about 8 inches deep. It appears to run across Washington Avenue and was connected to another Rod, driven deep into the Ground. First thought was a Ground Rod for a long gone Telephone Pole. However, no sign of a previous Pole ever existing. I know Electric Trolleys replace the old Mule Powered Streetcars, around 1891. Could this Rod be Part of that System? Whatever, I sure would like to know what it is, before I attempt to remove it!! Anyone have an Opinion?
