Too all SHOOT & SHARE Photographers and PASS users... Hey - TopicsExpress

Too all SHOOT & SHARE Photographers and PASS users... Hey everyone, It saddens me greatly to make this post. Over the last 5 years I have participated in many conversations and I have made some really awesome friendships through the Showiteers, PASS, and Shoot and Share groups.Unfortunately over the last year or so, the censorship and ideals in these groups (the main groups, not NJ necessarily) has really disappointed me. Its hard to watch a company become so successful in this industry and use that success not only for their own profit, but to sway new photographers into thinking a certain way that effects the industry poorly in the long run, but flourishes PASSs bank account in the short term. Shoot and Share preaches to us that we need to SERVE our clients and allow them the FREEDOM to do whatever they would like to their photos. DJ says he is sick and tired of photographers not allowing their clients to edit their photos. All the while, PASS refuses to allow the photographer to set print pricing (after multiple requests to do so) and chooses to listen to customer feedback and suggestions. That sounds like the opposite of serving and freedom to me. Many photographers around the United States who have also felt the same way I have, left the S&S group. I was officially banned from the main group today because I do not agree with what they are doing. I know longer wanted to associated with this cult like atmosphere. After having all my posts deleted I decided to put this on my page where it WILL NOT be deleted. To all those who get the chance to read, I appreciate all of the friendships and great conversations throughout the years and I am saddened to see the Shoot and Share groups move this way. I will no longer be leading the Shoot & Share NJ Group. All the best, Leaha I am free to be me, as they say. So I am freeing myself up to move forward.
