Too many people are trying to be Christians without their Bibles. - TopicsExpress

Too many people are trying to be Christians without their Bibles. Wanting to be Spirit-led without the Word that was written by the Spirit. Oh but actually studying Gods Word would take effort. We dont want that. People have actually told me that Im wrong on a particular matter, not because I was genuinely in error but simply because Im in seminary. Im trying to be too deep. Or yall wanna turn God into a subject and being led by the flesh. Im not saying real understanding only happens in seminary, but wanting sit under teachers whove devoted their lives to studying Gods word doesnt make me wrong either. Inevitably, every Christian is a theologian; some more studious than others. Theres no such thing as no theology. Theres only sound theology and poor theology, no matter how you flip it. Man I wish more churches would turn to the Bible for their source of wisdom and godliness. I mean reeeeeeeaaally turn to the Bible. The more videos I put out the more I realize how deprived Christians are of Gods word in their churches and they dont even realize it. If your pastor can get through half of his sermon without once going to his Bible, hes cheating Gods people of an opportunity to know God more and instead knowing more of the pastors opinions. People have gotten so twisted that they believe if their pastor said it or they agree with it then its sound doctrine. But if someone clearly shows in the Bible otherwise, its just opinion. How crazy is that??? The Bible is not our /only/ authority in life but it is the ULTIMATE authority that trumps all other authorities. Or at least it should be. We want God to speak but do so with a closed Bible. God has spoken and it is soooo beautiful if you would just open your Bible (app) to see. Rant over.
