Too many seek comfort when choosing friends and end up with cheerleaders. I want friends that are not afraid to offer alternate ideas and opinions, that think, but are not afraid to think differently, that cheer, but also criticize and offer new solutions. Good friends can tell you when you are wrong, because the correction actually shows the depth of the relationship. This is the true test of friendship to me. Cheerleaders are easy to find, pity-party friends are easy to find, what is truly valuable are the friends that do not let you go wrong, the ones that can tell you that might be a mistake because xxxxxxx, the one that encourage you in good relationships, the ones that steer you upwards, the ones that tell you to stay in tonight and study, that tell you go home to your family we ca hand next week, the ones that are eager to listen to your plans for the future and add diversity, etc. To those of you in my life that do that for me, THANKS My 2015 Wish for everyone is to find those friends and keep them closer.
