Too many times in rescue, the best we can do for strays is to - TopicsExpress

Too many times in rescue, the best we can do for strays is to foster and network to find them new homes. We thought we had a new home for our Perla last weekend but it fell through. That adoption misstep was a blessing in disguise as we were contacted about her by family who have been looking for her for weeks. Perla, whose real name is Tinkerbell is the companion to a 9 year old autistic girl and her mom. She bolted when she was at a friends house for training and ended up in an AC. Last Day Dog Rescue was contacted 2 days before she was to be pts and we were able pull her as a foster was open. We are so excited to be able to say Tinkerbell will be reunited this afternoon. Two important things have been reinforced by this occurring. The first, the importance of microchips (which she was not) and second, temporary homes save lives. lastdaydogrescue.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=6827909#.U1vK7TfH2IQ.facebook
