Too much information is withheld from the public on the basis of national security - which really goes against the concept of democracy, and amounts more to dictatorial oversight. The people have a right and a need to know what is going on in the government that supposedly is set up to serve, yet every pretext is used to keep information hidden. These days when corporations are setting the agendas for much of what goes on in government, and with the new world order pulling the strings from behind the scenes, the restriction of information from the people is obscene and immoral.
