Too tired to train tonight :( I cant bear to leave Princess - TopicsExpress

Too tired to train tonight :( I cant bear to leave Princess Punkin Seed at home and she needs to be isolated now. So I will indulge in some reflections of our journey. The following video is from February 2013. It is prior to the help I received from Linda Koutsky and Sylvia Bishop. You can see how flat and unsure Secret was although she understood the exercises. At this point in time I just did not know how to correct her mistakes, so she was left feeling uncertain, frustrated and saddened by my displeasure. In June of 2013, the Balanced Obedience FB group performed an intervention and convinced me that Secret was never going to be FLASH THE BORDER COLLIE...that I needed to just accept her as she was and make the best of it. Barbara Craig was a huge influence on me, as was Mon Ique Anslee. The video was made after I had the insight that Secret was so much like me in that it just killed her to be wrong...that she hated criticism, and I needed to find a way to convey to her mistakes while at the same time building her self esteem. Since then she has pitched in when I was feeling particularly vulnerable to help me get thru difficult situations. She is my team mate and my best friend, thru thick and thru thin. God bless the many BC folks who have so generously helped us... Paula Barras, Marion Crain, Beth Lane, Maggie Hayes, Betty Hunter, Kim Horn Janek, Bob Janek, Rita Paris, Diane Carr, Diane Bauman, Karen Herceg. There is something about the BC community. Although I have fallen in love with Goldens, I will always have to have a BC because the BC folks are my people. They have a sense of humor and generousity that has touched me and enhanced my life. I love all of you very much. I cant forget Lee Hulett, who has been so encouraging to me in both re-training the sit stay and developing my faith in God. youtu.be/yGW5VKKln9k?list=UUHQIOIPF6LICpg1gCjiMRoQ
