Took Dane to his follow up appt today since he had his cast removed. Had to go to Hampton Bays for it. My old stomping grounds. Havent been there in forever. So I decided to show him around my old town. First stop was to visit my Dad. It was good to see him and its been way too long so Im going to make it a point to take the boys more often to see him. Hes changed alot. Guess getting older does that to a person. He really enjoyed talking to Dane. Gave him a model car, a fishing rod and reel and a bag full of quarters to get ice cream. Then I drove Dane past my old elementary school, theb on to Ponquogue beach to show him the ocean. We spent some time there, took some great pics (will post later), then drove to my old neighborhood where I grew up. All the while telling Dane all about how I grew up there as a kid. Riding our bikes w the neighborhood kids, the hill I rode down on my bike, took a nasty spill and tore up my knee, our old bus stop that we had to walk too. Showing him my old friends grandparents house across from ours. Talk about memories. What a great day we had
