Took Mom to the emergency room yesterday for irregular heat beat, she was in Atrial Fibrillation. They got her heart back into regular rhythm after about 6 hours. She will be spending Thanksgiving in the hospital and they will be running some test tomorrow that they couldnt do on the holiday but the Dr. believes everything will be fine, so time will tell. With that being said, I hear a lot of negative things about UPMC but I have to say the nurses were wonderful and stayed on top of things and were very reassuring through the process. I know these men and women have a thankless job at times and would much rather be spending their holiday with family and friends but they put a smile on their face and bring comfort to their patients and their family. So to those of you who give of yourself to make the lives of others better, today I am thankful for each and everyone of you. God Bless!
