Took a LONG time to get rid of that candy. Not as many people as last year, and they were WAY spread out. And what is UP with people these days? My front door is RIGHT on the street. Ive got the front porchlight on. The hall ways is burning bright in the downstairs hall/foyer. The door is open. Im sitting on the stairs inside (but in clear view of the door) because its a bit drizzly out there. And I kept hearing people walking by, and not stopping. Finally I hear this woman outside say to her kids, no, not that house, no ones there. I jumped off the stairs and went over to the screen door, and then she saw me and said, OH somebody IS there. Jesus Christ, lady, whaddya want me to do, stand at the door? Im not sitting on the goddamned front porch when its wet out there. When I was a kid we KNOCKED ON DOORS. Sheesh.
