Took a ride to Harpursville today. The river there was overflowing its banks, so turned around and bolted for dryer Prattsville!!! :) and Hunter Mountain, to see wildlife photographer Larry Gambons exceptional "Wild America!" photography show at the Kaaterskill Fine Arts Gallery on Main Street in Hunter. (We all must go see - show closes July 28th! We could do dinner in Hunter!) When I sayLarrys work is exceptional I mean his photography takes my breath away. It is tack - sharp, with unusual wildlife scenes never seen before, like a coyote "yelling" at a bird. Larry has been known to hang out in national parks, in the dead of winter, to get a shot of a wolf, or the badlands of Wyoming , to catch a battle scarred Mustang in action. Anyway back to the Zadock Pratt Museum- Everybody - Please take a minute of your time to LIKE the Zadock Pratt Museum of Prattsville. All businesses in this town were at Gound Zero with massive flooding. They suffered tremendous museum damage during Hurricane Irene and are slowly recovering. Lets throw them a little love! Join the museum as a new member, if that is something easy you can do, for a flood relief action this year!
