Took my Granddaughter Carolyn DelGreco to see this and it - TopicsExpress

Took my Granddaughter Carolyn DelGreco to see this and it generated some great conversations. She asked me why the story of the Womens Liberation Movement isnt in our history books, and I told her that if one wanted to delete history, the only thing you need do is control media coverage. Without those women who struggled for equality, both the early suffragettes and the warriors in the 60s and 70s, we would all still be wearing frilly aprons and asking Ward if he wanted one or two pork chops for supper. I am proud of the fact that I can CHOOSE my career path (this still needs some work) make equal wages to my male coworkers that do the same job (this also is not true in all respects and needs work) and that my Husband and I are equal partners in our relationship. We have recently encountered some neanderthal politicians as of late that seek to shove us all back to the stone ages. The solution? Elect more women to Congress. I strongly urge all my friends to go see this move - it is playing all around the country. Take your daughters and granddaughters and TALK about it.
