Took my campaigning table down into Tranent High Street again and did a stall on the bedroom tax. It was really slow today many people I saw had already signed it, but the ones I did speak to were hostile to the government’s austerity actions. I should have got on the bus with the table and gone to Musselburgh, a few miles away, instead because there was some festival going on with a lot more people about. I only sold 15 papers today and collected £3.75 fighting fund and amazingly sold no Socialism Today. It was a good day though. Maybe I should go to Musselburgh next week and try my luck there, need to screw up the courage to hump everything around on to the bus; the table is so awkward to carry, along with the bag of papers and so on. Anyway see what the next week brings.
