Took out my binoculars after placing the trash and recyclables out front. I had no trouble locating Comet Lovejoy just 2 degrees south or to the lower right of M44, also known as the Beehive Cluster, which is an excellent object for binocs. I checked out several other clusters and galaxies with my 10 X 50s. The Andromeda Galaxy, Orion Nebula, M81 (galaxy in Ursa Major), the Double Cluster in Perseus and several other. I might look for Comet ISON in about an hour, but Ill need one of my scopes to find it easily. I dont hold out much hope of it being the Comet of the Century or anything close to spectacular. I really hope that Im wrong.
