Took the boy to visit the Peoples House yesterday: Had quite the adventure along the way. Got pulled over by a State Trooper for the 1st time ever in all my years of driving. Not sure the reason. He pulled me over and then stood behind my vehicle looking in the rear window for several minutes before approaching the driver side of the car. Really steeerange conversation with the officer. Took my dl and after a lengthy wait he returned gave me a warning ticket for speeding. I would have liked to argue the point. I was not speeding. I was not because I had a Mothers most precious cargo along: my child. Sometimes one has to weigh cost vs benefit and it seemed to be a benefit to be hushed at the time. A bit delayed but on our way again I stopped at Kwik Trip to get some fuel and a snack for Donner. at the relish bar I was attacked by an rogue mustard dispenser. I ended up doing a considerable amount of laundering in the sink of the KT ladies room before leaving for Madison with wet but no longer mustard stained attire. Crankle up the heat and fan in the car trying to dry out before we got to the Cap. We missed some of the excitement at the capitol that we had hoped to see :( ( the rally) but were able to register and attend the committee hearing on SB349, meet Senator Vinehout and Assembly Representative Danou and take a tour the building. Donner received a copy of the Wisconsin Blue Book from Senator Vinehout and we each bought a few Wisconsin Capitol stuff at the info desk. Going to have to see if I can listen to some of the testimony we missed on Wisconsin Eye.
