Took the brindles out for a much needed adventure this morning. Hit our new regular horse trail in the hills, and Koda went about ten feet before he stopped, nose up in the air. Mika stops, postures, hacks up, huffing ready to fight something off. Koda takes the more cautious route, stares up at me with those sensitive eyes. Theres danger. He warns me with two whines. Time to turn back, we cant go that way. I listen of course and we head down to the Iron Horse Trail. As we pass by the firehouse, I ask if there have been any calls in about mountain lions. Sure enough there were three this morning. This is why I always have dogs and listen to them. Good pups!
