Toos Rozen-Evans, a jeweler, will join the Adirondack Artists Guild in June. She established Tulip Design approximately ten years ago from her studio in Lyon Mountain, New York. Turquoise and coral -- two bold semi-precious stones she discovered while living in the Southwest-- feature prominently in Toos’s work. She blends semi-precious stones and copper to achieve an organic look; the tribal artwork of her former New Mexico home continues to influence her craft. Toos enjoys the flexibility of copper and continually experiments with soldering, shaping, and burning techniques. She designs for the woman who appreciates substantial statement pieces.
