Toothpaste on Spitfire rear lights - the experiment As advised, I used a new soft toothbrush that had sat in a mug of boiling water overnight, and a traditional toothpaste (not gel), ideally a kids one because it has a lower abrasive. The brand I used was Aquafresh little teeth 3-5. Dried with soft cloth after rinsing. Results: Does it shift mastic? YES - certainly better than the dishwasher did. Does it remove surface scratches? NO Does it fix cracks? NO (not surprised) Does it remove overspray? NO Was it a success? NO!
