Tootsie Roll. This adorable 3 year old Dachshund needs help. Our help and your help. Her family brought her to the vet last week when she began to lose the use of her hind legs (which can happen with this breed) and asked that she be euthanized as the cost of the surgery was too expensive for them to afford. Thankfully, the vet couldn’t do as the family asked and Tootsie Roll has been surrendered to Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Luckily, Tootsie Roll is not completely paralyzed and she still has feeling in her legs but time is not on her side. She needs lumbar back surgery as soon as possible. Tootsie Roll’s surgery is expected to be $4,500. After surgery, we are confident little Tootsie Roll will make a full recovery and enjoy the life she so deserves!
