Top 10 Christmas Movies (Disclaimer: Im not much of a Christmas Guy) 10. Its a Wonderful Life - Of the typical Christmas movies, this is one of the few that I can honestly enjoy year after year. 9. A Midnight Clear - Based on a true story of an intel squad that strikes an uneasy Christmas alliance with their German counterparts in WWII, this movie has been on a past list, and will continue to be on future lists because. It is just that damned good. 8. Gremlins - Who doesnt love some awesome 80s horror along with their holiday? 7. Bad Santa - This movie is hilarious, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. The kid was trying to carve him a Christmas pickle, for crying out loud... 6. Elf - I kind of went in to this one expecting to hate it, but was pleasantly surprised. So much so that I can actually say with certainly that I cant wait to watch it again. 5. A Christmas Story - Fragile, it must be Italian. Youll shoot your eye out! Oooooh, fuuuuuuuudge... Easily one of the most quotably hilarious and awesome movies of all time. 4. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation - Uncle Louis is my boy. Cousin Eddies shitter was full. Grace? She died 30 years ago. Nuff said. 3. Lethal Weapon - its not just a fantastic buddy cop film, its one of my favorite Christmas movies, as well. Sure its largely happenstance that the movie is set against the backdrop of Christmas, but it is still one of the most awesome movies of all time. 2. Scrooged - Bill Murrays tears at the end of that film were genuine. This movie has heart. 1. Die Hard - John McClane and Hans Gruber serve as the perfect embodiments of a badass sense of duty and cunning greed, respectively. Place them in the holiday excess of Nakatomi Plaza. Add one Ten-Lincoln-Thirty in the form of Reginald VelJohnson. Shake. Garnish with a machine gun, HO!-HO!-HO! Watch the magic happen....
