Top 10 Favorite Distinct Vocalists Through My Years: #9- Dean Martin What can I say? To me this guy IS the King of Crooners. If their was ever a personality that I could easily reach out, grab and instill it within me, having it be my personality as well--it would hands down be Dean Martins. Such a cool, suave of a cat. What makes his vocal skills so intriguing and endearing to me is how he seems to so effortlessly sing. Its like he sings in such an amazing way because he just can. It seems he just has to open his mouth and it just comes out the same way that it would if you were just simply talking. Their is nothing like it that I have ever come across to hearing other than coming from him. For fans of this type of singing, a lot always like to bring up the rat pack and talk about how Sinatra was the voice. That may be true, but to me, I have always preferred Dean. Because, it seems that throughout his time singing, it feels like Dean never even tried his absolute best to see how truly good his voice was. Thats due to how he came across singing so effortlessly. He just seemed to just love going on stage and put his own spin of charisma into the songs and doing it just for the sheer fun of it. That singing isnt something to be taken seriously other than just something you can enjoy doing and everyone can join in on the fun. Be swooped up into the charm of it all. When you add that to his charismatic personality and charm, its so easy to go along with the ride. Anyways, due to it being Christmas season, I choose this song to be played--twice. From the seemingly effortless style while having the audience join in on the fun of it all, and the second one where their is actual effort that still seems no effort at all and taking it as serious as only Dean Martin can. https://youtube/watch?v=4l6KcK_QTBs https://youtube/watch?v=BkrpRVv5bE0
