Top 10 Favorite Distinct Voices Through the Years Number 3- Roy Khan I call him The Voice of God of Power/Symphonic Metal. A powerful, emotional, charismatic smooth voice that has the power to lift my own emotions up to that of spiritual. The first time I heard him sing to the very end of his departure to professional singing, it was always incredible hearing his voice technique. One of the best distinctive voices I have ever heard in my life. When I got my hands on Cold Winters Night DVD and heard just how much more amazing he sounds live than in studio, it totally blew me away. Was shocking to say the least just how clear, crisp, emotional, and smooth his vocals were. If I hadnt known better, it was like watching the DVD on mute with the songs from the albums being played over while at the same time getting the vocals sound much more superior. As far as singing live, he is by far in the top 3 very best vocally. (Lione, Mercury) With the latest Kamelot album with their newest vocalist, it has continued to make me quite somber to know that Khans unbelievable voice may never be heard again in regards to new material that could have been quite something to experience. Out of all the vocalists that I enjoy listening to the most in regards to my favorite genre of music, he is by far the one and only one that if he sang mainstream music material in the states, he would be one of the forefront runners of popularity.
