:::::Top 10: Richest players in the Premier League:::: 1. Wayne Rooney - £45m. The Manchester United striker is believed to be the best paid player in the Premier League, which is a welcome reward for his ability, and performances on the pitch. Rooney reportedly earns in the region of £250,000-a-week, and he also enjoys sponsorship deals from Nike and HarperCollins amongst others. 2. Samuel Etoo - £39m The richest foreign player in the Premier League is one that only arrived in August - and on a free transfer! Chelsea striker Etoo hit the jackpot when he agreed a lucrative move to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, and even though hes struggled to find his best form at Stamford Bridge, hes still raking it in! 3. Rio Ferdinand - £37m The Manchester United defenders sales from his #5 brand are proving a nice top-up to his Old Trafford deal - which expires at the end of the current season. Ferdinand has a reputation as something of an entrepreneur, and once he decides to hang up his boots, he has a number of different business ventures to keep him busy, and his bank balance topped up. 4. Frank Lampard - £31m The 35-year-old midfielder is also playing off rolling one-year contracts at Chelsea, as is the policy for all players over the age of 30 at Stamford Bridge. Lampard is arguably one of the greatest midfielders the Premier League has ever seen, and Roman Abramovich has rewarded the England veteran handsomely for his on-pitch exploits. 5. John Terry - £29m The Chelsea captain signed a five-year £150,000-a-week contract in 2009, which comes to an end at the end of this season. Terry insisted last month that hes in no rush to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge, but expect Jose Mourinho to offer the defender a rolling 12-month contract. 6. Steven Gerrard - £29m The Liverpool captain signed a new two-year contract at Anfield in July, which will now mean that the England midfielder remains on Merseyside beyond his 35th birthday. Gerrard has previously turned down the advances of rival Premier League clubs, to commit his future to his boyhood club, and still plays an important role in Brendan Rodgerss first-team. - See more at: seluzentertainment/en/top-10-s-top-40-s/406-top-10-richest-players-in-the-premier-league#sthash.Mvh3GW4z.dpuf
