Yes, I picked a Smith compilation and I do feel a bit like Alan Partridge saying his favourite Beatles album is the best of The Beatles, but that album was what got me into the Smiths and its got all their best songs on. Re The Beatles and The Arctic Monkeys, I could have picked any of their albums, and a more honest list might just have consisted of 7 Beatles records and 5 Arctic Monkeys records. But for the sake of variety I went with one album per band.
