No fashion police & in fact, the more bulky layers you wear, the more comfortable you’ll be! 2. Cost effective. For the $20 you’d spend on that cheesy gift exchange, you can make a huge batch of chili! 3. You will have a chance to share food along with others, all of whom have put lots of love into their creations, and you won’t leave having over eaten! 4. No awkward introductions / attempts to make conversation. Within 30 seconds of arriving, someone will hand you a ladle and push you towards a pot of soup. You will want direction re: how far to fill the cup, does each person get a napkin, what if they want a refill?? – but everyone will be so focused on the guests that you’ll just wing it. And it will all work out fine! 5. Instead of using your observation skills to critique your co-worker’s attire, you’ll automatically be taking note of who has no mittens, who needs a coat, who looks particularly hungry, & you will make it your mission to find the goods! 6. No one will care that you didn’t get the recent promotion or that you are the CEO. In fact, no one will even ask what you do. You are important because you are happy to connect with people & this is making a difference. 7. You will not go home feeling bloated from too much buffet. In fact, you will likely lose a pound or 2 due to all the shivering & running up & down the line! 8.
